Technology made simple!

I guess that I should add that none of the opinions on this blog or any of the attached blogs are necessarily opinions of myself or my school district.  If any advertisements pop up, I am in no way supporting any of those advertisements, nor did I request the advertisements, and I am not making any money off this site.  It is only for educational purposes.

Really, I’m joking!  Nothing is simple about technology because it is always changing.  Our fifth grade goal this year is to make this site accessible to both teachers and students at both school and at home.  Our students will have a daily opportunity to blog about what they have learned during the day, and to respond to journal entries that hope to generate class discussion.  Students will create computer projects using digital cameras, Flip video cameras, ipods, along with Photo Story 3 and MovieMaker for podcasts.  Student newspaper reporters will include their weekly articles so that parents and students can keep up with Smith news.  The Smith SuperStar Gardening club will have a home for their activities including the latest purple martin statistics for our ongoing martin sanctuary.
